Los Santos, San Andreas – April 13, 2023

Yesterday evening, chaos unfolded in Los Santos as a high-speed car chase turned into a deadly rooftop shootout, leaving two police officers incapacitated and numerous others shaken. The harrowing incident occurred outside the Diamond Casino & Resort and has raised questions about the city’s ongoing struggle with gang violence.

The incident began with an active vehicle pursuit involving a car carrying three individuals, believed to have ties to the notorious Ballas gang. In a daring move, the suspects abandoned their vehicle and scaled the casino rooftop, from where they opened fire on pursuing officers below. They were armed with class 1 firearms, according to law enforcement sources.

The exchange of gunfire proved intense and terrifying, with two officers being hit and incapacitated by the hail of bullets. Eyewitnesses described the scene as “something out of a movie,” with bullets whizzing past and shattering the casino’s glass façade.

A Diamond Casino manager, Vincent DeLorenzo, shared his thoughts on the incident “Look, in Los Santos, a little gunfire is just another day at the office, capiche? We closed the joint for an hour, just a little breather, made sure our valued customers were still in one piece. And whaddaya know? They were. So, we threw open the doors, and it was back to business as usual. Ain’t nothin’ gonna stop the flow of chips and champagne in this city, not even a few stray bullets. That’s just how we roll at the Diamond Casino.”
