Los Santos, a city with a reputation for crime and eccentricity, revealed itself in all its oddity during a ride-along with a corporal in the LSPD. For two hours, I observed traffic stops and other incidents, witnessing firsthand how the citizens of Los Santos were drawn to the action like moths to a flame.
At every turn, onlookers gazed intently, sometimes even engaging with officers about the incident at hand or discussing unrelated matters. The sense of intrigue and involvement in the city’s happenings was palpable.
Throughout the ride-along, the officers displayed exceptional professionalism. Methodical and precise, they approached each situation with care. Open to feedback, they demonstrated a willingness to improve. Ensuring the safety and convenience of citizens was their utmost priority. They struck a balance between leniency and strictness. Minor infractions often received warnings, while severe offenses were met with firm responses.

The most unforgettable incident of the day occurred at Vangelico’s Jewelry store, where a daring jewelry heist unfolded. Four perpetrators, with hostages in tow, were caught in the act of stealing from the store. Two of the robbers, Repoguy and Tiny Pete, were unmasked and known to the officers and our publication.

Repoguy and Tiny Pete are known associates of the homeless population residing under the dilapidated “Hobo Bridge.” When asked about the unfolding situation, Tiny Pete quipped, “We’re having a family barbeque.” This was, of course, far from the truth.
A chaotic chase ensued, with Repoguy and Tiny Pete sprinting on foot while the other two criminals fled. However, the four reunited and continued their erratic escape through the city streets.
The chase took a dramatic turn when Tiny Pete either jumped or was ejected from the car, leading to his apprehension. Subsequently, another suspect believed to be “Curly Legend,” was also taken into custody. Once secured, Tiny Pete made an unusual statement, saying, “Can I turn off my radio?” Ultimately, both individuals were charged with aggravated robbery, among other offenses.

This exclusive ride-along with one of LSPD’s finest provided a unique and eye-opening perspective on the colorful, unpredictable nature of crime and law enforcement in Los Santos. It’s a city that never ceases to astonish, where reality often blurs with the surreal, and every day brings a new, unexpected story.
